Advisory Board
Jenny Valenzuela is the Director of Visual Arts for the Idaho Fine Arts Academy. An award-winning author in her own right, she has been teaching, guiding and inspiring middle school and high school students at the Idaho Fine Arts Academy since 2014. She teaches drawing, painting, sculpture, mixed media, design, digital art, and digital photography. Through IFAA, she is responsible for offerings such as National Art Honors Society, advanced placement courses and dual credit courses. Her students have been recognized in several art events and contests nationally including fundraisers for suicide prevention organizations and helping homeless teens in Boise.
Jenny found her passion for creating and teaching art at a young age and credits much of her motivation in her early years to her high school art teacher, who encouraged her to submit her work in several national competitions that led to her winning awards in respected art shows and events. While earning a Bachelor of Fine Arts degree from Boise State University, she began working for a local Nampa business, JCG, creating illustrations for their publications and currently creates commissioned artwork through her own companies, JennyLynn Originals and JennyLynn Artistry. She recently completed a beautiful painting which will be used for the cover of the First Edition of the Bridge of Grace publication, “Generations: Sharing Art from the Heart.”
In addition to working with her students at the Idaho Fine Arts Academy and creating artwork of her own, Jenny is a devoted wife to her husband Chris and mother to six wonderful children.
